Terms

Terms for editing and using images

These terms set the rules for using RemoveMate to remove image backgrounds, and explain your responsibilities when using the results.

Effective September 17, 2026

Agreement

By accessing or using RemoveMate, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.

The service

RemoveMate processes uploaded photos to remove their backgrounds. We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service. We do not guarantee that the service or any result will always be available, accurate, unique, or unchanged.

Your account

Some parts of the service may allow or require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in method, and telling us promptly about unauthorized use. You may not use another person's account without permission.

Payments and credits

RemoveMate offers one-time credit packs. There is no subscription, automatic renewal, or automatic recharge. Prices and credit amounts appear on the pricing page. A third-party merchant of record handles checkout. The checkout identifies the seller and shows the total, including any applicable taxes, before you pay.

Basic background removal costs 1 credit per image. Other tools or settings may use more credits, as shown in the tool. Free credits renew every 24 hours and do not accumulate. Purchased credits never expire. If processing fails, we return the reserved credits. Credits are for use within RemoveMate and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash except through an eligible refund.

Refunds

You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if none of the paid credits from that pack have been used. Using your free credits does not affect eligibility. A refunded pack is removed from your credit balance. Packs with used paid credits are generally not refundable.

We refund confirmed duplicate charges. If a technical problem prevents us from providing the purchased service, contact us so we can resolve it or review a refund. Disliking an AI result alone does not qualify a used pack for a refund. This policy does not limit your rights under applicable consumer law.

To request a refund, include your account email and order ID and write to support@removemate.com.

We aim to reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Your payment provider or bank determines when the funds appear.

Your inputs

You keep your rights in the photos, prompts, reference materials, and other content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use that content and to let us process it.

You give RemoveMate and its service providers a limited license to host, copy, transmit, modify, and process your inputs only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and enforce the service.

Generated results

To the extent permitted by law, RemoveMate does not claim ownership of the generated result returned to you. You may use a result for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms, applicable law, and any rights in the materials you supplied.

AI systems can produce similar results for different people and can reproduce or alter details unexpectedly. We do not guarantee that a result is unique, copyrightable, accurate, or free of third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing a result before publishing, selling, or relying on it.

Using and reviewing images

Generated images can contain invented or inaccurate details. They are not evidence of real events, a guarantee of appearance or product performance, technical specifications, or professional advice.

Before publishing, selling, or relying on an image, review its details, the rights and permissions involved, and any claims you make about it. Verify product features, dimensions, and safety requirements independently where relevant. You are responsible for decisions and work based on a result.

Prohibited conduct

You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, evade safeguards or limits, or submit or generate content prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or preserve and report information when reasonably needed to address misuse, protect people or the service, or comply with law.

Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, AI generation, payments, security, and analytics. Their availability and processing can affect removemate. References or links to third-party products do not imply endorsement or partnership.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RemoveMate and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for the service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits apply only where permitted by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Questions can be sent to support@removemate.com.
